

Trim Team is an online strength training programme for women aged 40 and over, run by qualified fitness coach Deborah Kelly from Ireland. Members get three live 30-minute classes every week — Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9:30am — plus unlimited access to an on-demand library of recorded workouts. Classes are specifically designed for women in perimenopause and menopause to build strength, improve energy, and support healthy weight management. Membership is €35 per month with no long-term contract.

My name is Deborah Kelly QUALIFIED FITNESS COACH, FAT LOSS NUTRITIONIST & SPORTS MASSAGE THERAPIST
I am a qualified Fitness Coach and Weight Loss Nutrionist. I am in my 50's and believe that women and men of any age can become healthier and fitter than ever before. I have developed this platform to help people do just that. After the last few years of unprecedented weight gain through Perimenopause I'm on my journey of losing weight and becoming stronger in the process and am very excited to do it with you. Staying fit as we age is incredibly important for our longevity. Train with me 3 times per week and feel the difference in your strength, mobility and cardiovascular health.

1. Is it safe to start strength training in perimenopause or menopause? Yes — and it's one of the best things you can do for your body at this stage of life. Strength training helps maintain muscle mass, supports bone density, improves energy levels, and can reduce common menopause symptoms. Deborah's classes are specifically designed with this in mind, starting gentle and building gradually at a pace that suits you.

2. I haven't exercised in years — can I still join? Absolutely. Trim Team is built for beginners and women returning after a long break. There's no fitness level required to start — just a willingness to show up. Every exercise has a gentler option, and Deborah coaches you through the whole session.

3. Will lifting weights make me bulky? No. This is one of the most common concerns women have, and the answer is clear: women, especially in midlife, do not have the hormone levels required to build bulk. What you will build is tone, strength, and a more energetic body.

4. What equipment do I need at home? Very little. A mat or soft floor, a sturdy chair, and optional light dumbbells (two tins of beans work perfectly to start). No gym membership, no expensive equipment.

5. Can I do the classes if I work full time? Yes. Live classes run Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9:30am and are recorded immediately after. You can watch and follow along any time that suits you — early morning, lunchtime, or evening.

6. How is Trim Team different from a regular gym class? Trim Team classes are designed specifically for women over 40, which means the programming accounts for hormonal changes, recovery needs, and real life. You train from home, at your own pace, with a coach who understands your body at this stage — not a generic fitness class that ignores it.

7. Do I need to be in Ireland to join? No. Trim Team is fully online and has members across Ireland, the UK, and beyond. All you need is an internet connection.

8. What happens if I miss a live class? Every class is recorded and added to the Trim Team library immediately after it ends. You'll never fall behind — just pick up whenever suits you.
